Shubh's journey began in 2010, when Mrs. Kaur opened her humble spice shop on Sandringham Road. Surrounded by the familiar aromas of turmeric, cardamom, and cumin, she found joy in sharing not just food, but the essence of Punjabi tradition with her community.
Fifteen years on, Shubh has grown into a beloved name in Auckland — vegetarian curries, breads, rice, snacks and desserts, all made with fresh produce carefully chosen from trusted local Punjabi farmers. Our motto remains the same: quality over quantity.

“My partner and I have been going to this place to get takeout for years and we love it! The food is amazing, portions very generous and affordable, the staff are always super friendly, and it's definitely the most value for money takeout you can get pretty much anywhere!”
“Great value for money! The food was delicious and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. I particularly appreciated the attentive and friendly service from Mr. Deepak, making our meal even more enjoyable.”
“Super yummy. My first visit today — takeaways only, so I took away 2 samosas and 1 fried paneer square, all were delicious. Many freshly made curries to choose from, all vegetarian, all home made fresh daily.”
